Stephen Cvengros is a journalist, editor and writer.
Currently living in Redmond, Washington, he is an executive producer for MSN.com. His previous positions have included Creative Director/Managing Editor at CompuServe. His journalistic roots began in newspapers. He was an editor at the Chicago Tribune, The Detroit News, Newsday and the Novi/Walled Lake News. His first news experience was editing his college and high school papers.
Along the way, Stephen has been awarded major journalism prizes including Michigan’s Associated Press Sweepstakes Award, numerous Gold Awards from the Society of News Design and many awards from the National Press Photographers Association, Society for Features Journalism, Michigan Press Association, and National Newspapers Association.
Roughly six years ago, Stephen returned to fiction writing. He has completed three plays, a screenplay and two novels. His work in these genres have been awarded several Writers Digest Writing Awards and an honorable mention in the Kay Snow Writing Awards. Several plays have had excerpts read at the Willamette Writers Annual Conference in Portland, Oregon.
